Job Description:

You will be part of the Country Brokerage Systems Administration (BSA) team and work in close cooperation with the brokerage departments, and the International Brokerage / IT team

Your role is to review brokerage software change requests and manage, program, and develop databases in excel, MS access, or SQL or enhance workarounds.

The Brokerage Business System Analyst coordinates all activities within the team and reports to the Brokerage Manager.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Analyze database with manage and maintain the database. Develop sub-programs (in Excel, Access and SQL) to support and assist the operation daily work. Maintain user roles, documentation of As-Is and To-Be process, review and update quality assurance
  • Internal support by managing requests and troubleshooting including data discrepancies, workflow errors and system bugs
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable system configuration, including automation, workflows, user roles, and dashboards. Prioritize requests and create short- and long-term plans based on internal requests.
  • Design, configure, and maintain system workflows and automation process by ensuring consistent performance and secure operations (assessment of operational readiness). Validate business requirements and develop internal and automated solutions.
  • Support the administration and performance monitoring of UPS Brokerage system such as our clearance system “BOSS” and other integrated tools and workflows. Prepare and execute internal user acceptance testing. Interact with the Swiss customs.
  • Support major system initiatives and contribute to cross function projects with guidance from senior team members. Strong focus on project management with support to our business in all IT stages of the project execution.

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years’ experience in system administration business support – database management

Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel, MS Access, and SQL knowhow preferred, understanding UML based business process documentation

  • Advantage to have knowledge of Logistic and Brokerage processes and customs requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, fluent in business English and German
  • High attention to details and comfort executing system changes with precision in live environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and documentation of system issues and solutions. Good analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure.

Working hours

On a full-time basis - Work during nights and weekends will be required in specific instances
