Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Export Auditor to join our team. He/She will play a key role in troubleshooting and communicating documentation discrepancy issues with customers and foreign origins. This position will involve auditing commercial documents, applying Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes for accurate duty assessments, and ensuring compliance with all federal export requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and audit commercial documents related to exports ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and troubleshoot documentation discrepancies and collaborate with customers and foreign entities to resolve issues effectively.
  • Apply Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes to ensure accurate duty assessments for shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal regulations relating to exports, including maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in laws and regulations.
  • Manage general export activities including tracking shipments and liaising with logistics providers.
  • Handle general office tasks and data entry responsibilities to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Assist in preparing reports and analysis related to export activities and compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and provide support in resolving export-related inquiries.

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
