Job Description:

UPS Healthcare is seeking a skilled, talented, and motivated Data Analytics and Visualization Developer/Engineer to join our End User Development Team under the Engineering Department.  This role is to transform raw data into actionable insights for our healthcare business by creating visually appealing visualizations via tools like Power BI, Domo, or other data visualization software.  The key scopes include data extraction, transformation, modeling, and data visualization to deliver comprehensive business intelligence solutions.  The role requires a good understanding of the logistics and distribution business, warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, process flow, data mapping, and ability to collaborate cross functionally with operations, engineers and system analysts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report and Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and visually appealing results.

  • Data Acquisition: Integrate data from multiple operational systems such as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Timecard systems, and other relevant data sources to create comprehensive reports.

  • Data Modeling: Create and maintain Power BI datasets and data models, ensuring consistent and reliable data across different reports.

  • DAX Queries: Write advanced DAX queries to create calculated columns, measures, and other complex metrics as required by the business.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, IT, Business Analysts, Engineers and Management to ensure the reports align with the organization’s business goals.

  • Report Maintenance: Maintain and update reports and dashboards in response to evolving business needs and changing data sources.

  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users to help them understand and effectively use the dashboards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering or a related field – Preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong knowledge or proficiency in Power BI - Required

  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, Data Visualization Developer, Data Analyst, or similar role, with a focus on logistics and supply chain operations – Required

  • Certifications in Power BI or related Microsoft technologies are a plus – Preferred

  • Experience with SQL Server & Oracle, relational databases, and writing SQL queries – Required

  • Proficient in data modeling, DAX, and Power Query – Required

  • Knowledge of other tools such as Power Automation, Power Apps., Domo, and Tableau – Preferred

  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure) is a plus – Preferred

  • Familiarity with logistics systems such as WMS, TMS, and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.) – Preferred

  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes – Preferred

  • Experience in the logistics supply chain field – Preferred

  • Experience in a Healthcare background such as Pharma, Biopharma, Lab diagnostics, Medical Devices, and Home Health Products – Preferred

  • Experience in Distribution – Preferred

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience – Preferred

  • Customer facing experience to assist with system configuration - Preferred
