Job Description:

The Carrier Management Specialist is responsible for tracking load movements across North American Air Freight, Air Cargo, Sleeper Team, and DirectShip transportation networks.  He/She coordinates equipment repairs and schedules adjustments for drivers. The Carrier Management Specialist creates contingency transportation plans to ensure service goals are met.

Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of the UPS Air and Ground Networks and knowledge of SLIC numbers used by UPS to identify locations - Preferred

  • Able to work under stressful situations while maintaining good communication and problem-solving skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook - Preferred

  • Ability to work unsupervised at times

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and applications(Computer Competency Test).

Additional Criteria:  

  • Job Grade: 10 D (this is a specialist position)

  • Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself –Required.  

  • Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 3:00 PM – 23:30 PM Eastern Time (2nd shift)
