Job Description:

ROLE SUMMARY

You will join the UPS Supply Chain Solutions Marketing department supporting the Freight Forwarding and Logistics & Distribution business units. You will support the Marketing Supervisor with the go-to-market strategy, create digital content as well as marketing collateral, drive our social media efforts, and work cross-functionally with various stakeholders to coordinate internal and external communications campaigns across Europe to engage and inform customers, attract new prospects, and support the sales teams. This role is based in Istanbul, Turkey.


YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting with the development of go-to-market communication strategies and collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams across various departments

  • Developing sales and customer collateral, incl. marketing decks, sales sheets, product marketing materials, and customer-friendly business review presentations

  • Collaborating cross-functionally to create compelling product value propositions and collateral

  • Preparing, writing, and disseminating customer-facing crisis communication at a very quick pace

  • Writing formal customer letters, incl. new product/site launches, market development updates, and rate update notifications

  • Copywriting of region-specific content and localization of global materials

  • Designing, building, and maintaining our social media presence and providing regular reporting and analytics of KPIs

  • Developing, managing, and disseminating internal communication materials, incl. newsletters, talking points, and market news briefs

  • Researching, analyzing, and proactively staying up to date with current market and industry news

  • Collaborating with agencies and other vendor partners; liaising between corporate, region, and country teams as needed

  • Organizing and owning internal communication channels to disseminate marketing content & relevant information

  • Supporting executive leadership with preparation for presentations at major international events

  • Planning, supporting, and executing company participation at industry events

  • Supporting growth strategies across online and offline channels with a creative approach

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (Masters preferred) in the field of Marketing or related

  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken. Any additional European language is an asset.

  • Proven prior working experience in Marketing/Communications (preferred: min. 1-2 years)

  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, and especially PowerPoint)

  • Strong creative and writing skills

  • Strong presentation and communication skills

  • Analytical and strategic mindset and skills, with the ability to think critically and independently

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously

  • Ability to synthesize complex ideas and convert it to a message suitable for various audiences

  • Willingness to learn new things on the job

  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong accountability and project ownership skills

  • Attentive eye for detail, with drive for high quality project output

  • Preferred: Working knowledge of Canva and/or Adobe Creative Cloud applications

  • Preferred: Experience studying about/working in the logistics industry

  • Preferred: Knowledge of digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, email campaigns, display advertising and other digital tools
