Our customers range from small and mid-sized companies up to global enterprises.  Our Global Logistics and Distribution business unit providescomprehensive logistics services and warehousing solutions utilizing a global network of distribution centers, innovative technology and supply chain expertise to manage the flow of goods from receiving to storage and order processing to shipment.

Job Summary:

The Contract Logistics Operations Manager II impacts the organization by developing, implementing, and leading successful customer operations to ensure efficient and economical utilization and storage for both Post Sales and Distribution customers. This role directs and controls activities in multiple facilities, with complex accounts and large number of employees.

The Contract Logistics Operations Manager II is typically responsible for meeting a revenue plan. This role develops operational goals and plans, monitors and communicates operations performance against plan, monitors margins, acts as liaison with customers, sets priorities, and coordinates with other functions to improve efficiency. This position is responsible for organizing and structuring a team or department, managing operations to meet customer deadlines, developing and executing account plans, cross selling, providing customer service, participating in reviews and revisions of Statements of Work, reporting financial performance, monitoring system performance, coordinating special projects, and resolving problems.

This position also collaborates with the Country Controller to develop account level profit and loss statements and other financial reports and forecasts. This position manages supervisors and hourly employees.

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself - Required

  • Management experience - Required.

  • WMS, WES knowledge - Preferred.

  • Automation experience - Preferred.

  • P&L Management and analysis- Preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 3 years of UPS experience - Preferred.

Other Criteria:

  • Job Grade: 30E

  • Schedule/typical working hours: Monday-Friday 7am - 4:30pm. Requires overtime as needed based on operational conditions.
