Job Description:

The Manager of Solutions Design & Pricing oversees a team responsible for designing and developing warehousing and distribution solutions that meet customer needs. This role provides strategic direction and mentorship to ensure optimal pricing, solution development, and process improvements. The manager collaborates with senior leadership, business development, operations, and customers to create innovative and cost-effective supply chain solutions. This position is accountable for the successful execution of proposals, pricing models, and project implementations, ensuring the team meets business objectives and customer expectations.

  • Work Schedule: M-F, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Solutions Designers to ensure alignment with organizational goals and customer requirements.

  • Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with key customers to understand their business challenges and position the organization as a strategic partner.

  • Solution Oversight: Review and approve complex warehousing and distribution solutions, ensuring technical accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with financial targets.

  • Pricing Strategy: Develop pricing strategies and frameworks to maximize revenue generation while maintaining competitive positioning.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Business Development, Operations, and IT to drive the development and implementation of tailored supply chain solutions.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for team efficiency, standardize processes, and implement best practices for solution development and pricing.

  • Proposal Leadership: Provide oversight and guidance for the development of RFP responses, technical documents, and business proposals.

  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and develop talent within the Solutions Design team to build technical and analytical capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field - Required

  • Master’s Degree - Preferred

  • Experience with AutoCAD - Preferred

  • Experience with warehouse and WMS design and implementation - Preferred

  • Strong project management and process improvement experience (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) - Preferred

  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams in a supply chain, logistics, or engineering environment – Preferred

  • Ability to synthesize complex data and translate it into actionable strategies and solutions - Preferred

  • Advanced understanding of supply chain solution design, including warehousing and distribution strategies, labor optimization, and WMS functionality - Preferred

  • Experience in creating and reviewing pricing models to ensure profitability and competitive market positioning - Preferred

  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to various audiences - Preferred

  • Skilled in using advanced tools for data analysis and solution design (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Access, or equivalent software) - Preferred
