Job Description:


We are seeking a Procurement Data Science Analyst to join our team. As a Procurement Data Science Analyst, you will support our Procurement Data Scientist in overseeing the collection, transformation, and interpretation of large volumes of data to derive actional insights. These insights will support the development and implementation of advance analytics models and solutions for our Procurement Commodity Owners. We ask that this candidate have a strong foundation in data science and analytics and is proactive.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Synthesizes data from large disparate sources (internal and external) which serve as inputs for data and model pipelines in building analytical systems.
  • Creates analytical reports and represents large, complex sets of data and associated solutions to support business objectives.
  • Assists teams in applying best practices on the use of statistical modeling, machine learning, algorithms, distributed computing, Cloud-based AI technologies and run time performance tuning with the goal of deployment and market introduction.
  • Develop and implement advanced analytics models and solutions to optimize procurement processes
  • Collaborate with Procurement Commodity Owners to identify data-driven insights and opportunities for improvement
  • Leverages analytics and visualization tools to design and present information to drive fact-based decision making.
  • Creates impactful visualizations for internal publication to facilitate communication.
  • Reviews visualizations for data accuracy and integrity to meet business standards.
  • Assists with the development of procedures to monitor model and production system performance/integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Bachelor's (BS/BA) Degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, computer science, physics, economics, engineering, statistics (operations research, quantitative social science, etc.), or equivalent job experience.
  • Proficiency in R, SQL, Python, and Big Query.
  • Experience with data mining and a solid understanding of machine learning or operations research.
  • Ability to develop visualizations in Power BI or similar tools.
  • Able to collaborate with domestic and global teams and exercise independent judgement.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree or currently pursuing a master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience in spend analytics.
  • Some professional experience in data science or analytics, though recent graduates are welcome to apply.
