Job Description:

This position will lead cross functional work stream initiatives throughout Non-Op Functions and Business units by supporting its objectives with a focus on high-impact strategic projects, ad hoc projects, and annual planning cycles. This role implements financial analytics/project management strategies to ensure activities and financial functions are appropriately aligned. The incumbent analyzes financial, risk-related data to assist and support executive management in effectively planning for all corporate strategic projects. This position supports leadership, project leaders and functional teams. The incumbent performs analysis on UPS-specific data, identifies potential obstacles and determines strategic recommendations. This role acts as a SME for information across all Strategic Projects and maintains an elevated level of confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides critical insights and analysis in support of cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects
  • Works closely with current financial teams to drive implementation of initiatives
  • Works in Planview for Financial Project support
  • Designs/executes quantitative analysis (e.g., models, financial analysis, etc.) and qualitative analysis (e.g., interviews, focus groups, etc.) to drive work stream insight developing, socializing, and aligning
  • Serves as a liaison, provides leadership through collaboration, and designs financial solutions and action plans to support strategic trends
  • Provides insights to senior leadership, including challenges and barriers for short and long-term solutions
  • Manages tasks and responsibilities of our Accenture resources

Preferences:

  • Understands concepts of finance, accounting, and general business principles
  • Displays relationship-building skills to foster effective relationships across function finance leads, business units and members of the executive leadership team
  • Experience in project management and managing multiple projects
  • Demonstrates experience in data analyses using Microsoft Excel, Structured Query Language (SQL) and presenting financial results using PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Finance Accounting or related field
  • Master's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Business or related field

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
  • Employer will not sponsor a visa for this or future positions
  • Must be in the same location as the job or willing to relocate yourself there
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree (or internationally comparable degree) or be a current UPS employee with a minimum of three years of UPS experience
  • Must have experience using financial transaction systems
  • Must have experience using financial reporting systems
  • Must have experience creating reports
