Job Description:

The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the pension and corporate accounting processes to ensure all governmental filings (e.g., Securities and Exchange Commission [SEC] forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.) are completed in an efficient and timely manner. He/She assists in researching and documenting the appropriate accounting treatment of transactions based on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position directs specialists and supervisors.

Responsibilities:

Corporate Accounting Manager position supports the Pension, Derivatives, Dividends, Shares / Stock Comp Accounting and reporting. 

The position is responsible for:
- Monthly accounting, planning and reporting for UPS Foundation, pension and supports all transactions within the UPS, Inc parent company (specifically stock compensation, shares, derivatives)
- Monthly US pension and postretirement plan and top 20 international defined benefit (DB) plan accounting and reporting
- Quarterly SOX controls related to above mentioned accounting 
- Annual audit and Form 5500 of Big 3 US pension plans and the UPS Group Trust 
- Annual regulatory filing with the Dept of Labor (Form 4010): ERISA requires certain underfunded plans to report identifying, financial and actuarial information to PBGC
- Prepares monthly and quarterly support and analysis for external filings and IR reviews related to pension
