Job Summary
The Complex Commodity Supervisor supports the IT Software agreements by overseeing and executing the management of software contracts, licenses, and agreements. He/She partners with internal stakeholders to ensure the IT software agreements align with legal, regulatory, and business requirements while maximizing value and minimizing risks. He/She coordinates and reviews competitive bid quotations, evaluates pricing for inclusion in cost proposals, and contacts suppliers and stakeholders to negotiate. He/She analyzes the Total Cost of Ownership to determine the most desirable and best method of purchase. This position works with cross-functional teams, pre-bid and contract follow-up meetings, and interviews as necessary to evaluate supplier products, services, and capabilities. He/She develops the capability to effectively monitor contract timelines, focus on tracking key dates like contract expiry dates, renewal dates, milestones, and obligations, ensuring timely actions and preventing missed deadlines or compliance issues will occur, with minimal supervision.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the drafting, negotiation, and execution of IT software contracts, including software licensing, SaaS agreements, maintenance agreements, and support contracts.
  • Work with legal and procurement teams to ensure that all software agreements are compliant with internal policies and industry regulations.
  • Ensure that all contract terms and conditions are clearly defined, enforceable, and meet business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with software vendors, negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor vendor performance, ensuring that vendors adhere to agreed-upon service levels, timelines, and contract terms.
  • Manage renewals, amendments, and terminations of software agreements in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all software agreements comply with relevant legal and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to software licensing, usage, and compliance, including audits and legal reviews.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and organized database of all software contracts, renewals, and key milestones.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including IT, legal, finance, and procurement, to ensure alignment and transparency in the execution of software agreements.


Qualifications:

  • Experience negotiating service agreements
  • 3-5 years’ Procurement experience or equivalent
  • Supervisory experience - Preferred
  • Experience with sourcing system - Preferred
