Job Description:

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with field engineers and reporting directly to their manager. This position involves working on project feasibility assessments as well as preparing Estimating Worksheets. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating the Construction Cost Tracker and various project manuals. The selected individual must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, as tasks may evolve to support the needs of the team. The candidate may also be involved in developing project documentation, including Request for Appropriation, estimates, and other related materials.

Responsibilities:

- Supervises the technical elements of large-scale construction projects within the company, including reviewing design documentation, evaluating contractor proposals, and offering technical support to the project team.

- Identifies areas for construction process improvement.

- Coordinates with field engineers to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to effectively oversee and manage all on-site activities. 

- Communicates cross-functionally through standardized communication.

- Demonstrates a general understanding of industry and financial trends impacting UPS.

- Demonstrates a general understanding of common estimation and forecasting techniques; identifies relevant data sources; identifies general trends in relevant data.

- Assist in audits of engineers in the field projects to make sure they are following the company's guidelines for project organization.

- Identifies internal customers' needs and vendors to meet those needs; determines costs and benefits to UPS for vendors' products, commodities, or services.

- Maintains strategic relationships with vendor leadership.

- Develops specific plans to accomplish project objectives.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in Engineering - Preferred

Experience in Construction Management - Preferred

Flexible travel schedule (including weekends)

Experience evaluating bid proposals


Compensation & Benefits:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $69,180/year to $98,640/year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation program depending on the level of the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
