Frequently Asked Questions
In the U.S., education assistance is offered to active part-time non-management (union and union free) employees at select locations within the UPS small package network. For Freight, only union free employees are eligible. Eligibility is immediate upon hire, and there are no management level approvals required to participate. Participating employees forfeit all education repayment eligibility at termination, even if the application and payment were approved and the semester completed, prior to termination. Employees who separate prior to physically receiving payment will not be eligible for reimbursement. Temporary, Co-Op, and Intern employees are not eligible for program participation.
The UPS Earn & Learn program is administered through a third party vendor, Edcor.

Employees should discuss academic educational plans with their manager in conjunction with their career plan, and read the Education Benefit Policy and the Undergraduate Earn & Learn program guideline document on UPSers.com. Search for "education." Next visit the EDCOR website, and complete the online Application within 30 days of the semester start date. Employees are able to keep track of the status of their submitted application via trackmystatus.com. Participants will also receive regular updates and approvals directly to the email address that is on file in the Edcor system. Note that UPS provides UPS email addresses for most employees, but employees are able to enter a personal email if they prefer. If a personal email is entered, all notifications will go to the personal email address. If no personal email address is provided, all notifications will be sent to the participant’s UPS email.
Applications must be submitted no more than 90 days before the start of the academic term and no later than 30 days after the start of the academic term. Applications received outside the established deadlines will be rejected, and render the employee ineligible for education reimbursement.
