Job Description:

The Purchasing Intern will assist the procurement team in managing purchasing activities, including receiving and verifying purchase requests, processing orders, and providing support to procurement functions. This role will involve data collection, analysis, and reporting to enhance purchasing processes and improve efficiency within the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and verify purchase requests to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Process purchase orders and communicate with suppliers to confirm order details.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of purchasing databases and reports.
  • Support procurement team members in their daily operations and initiatives.
  • Help track supplier performance and assist with supplier qualification efforts.
  • Contribute to the execution of contracts and support compliance with procurement policies.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify cost-saving opportunities through effective sourcing.
  • Prepare presentations and reports as needed to communicate findings and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., Business, Supply Chain Management).
  • Interest in procurement, purchasing, and supply chain processes.
  • Basic experience with vendor sourcing and contract management is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • English and Italian Mandatory, Spanish is a plus
