Job Description:

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity with the global leader of logistics? UPS is seeking a Benefits Associate III (Retiree Counselor) to support the day-to-day administration and functional responsibilities associated with retirement. This role processes retirement estimates, retirement applications and manages general correspondence for the deferred and active population for all UPS-Administered Plans. The Benefits Associate III also guides prospective retirees through the retirement process with daily phone inquiries, performs data analysis and research of potential discrepancies in employee records. 

The ideal Benefits Associate III candidate has production based/contact center environment experience and is comfortable successfully hitting weekly tracked goals. This role will also utilize research and analytical skills to successfully process benefits applications. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Processes retirement applications, estimates, and general correspondence associated with active, terminated and deceased populations
  • Manages administrative processing of benefits
  • Supports and counsels participants through retirement process
  • Researches and resolves data issues
  • Conducts data integrity audits as assigned
  • Manages and maintains electronic files   

Qualifications

Required

  • Must be located in the same geographic location as the job or be willing to self-relocate to the area
  • Must be able to report to the corporate office in Atlanta on a daily basis
  • Possesses excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Analytical skills
  • Exhibits strong time-management skills; effectively multi-tasks
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively problem-solve
  • Possesses intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products or equivalent software

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role
  • Bachelor’s degree
