Local
Our local drivers have established routes going from one UPS location to another. It’s a perfect tractor trailer position for drivers who prefer to be home by the end of the day.
FAQ
8-10 hours
Routes will be to UPS facilities and/or to UPS customers, so you’re home after each shift.
You must have a valid class A commercial driver’s license. You need to pass a UPS road test and a DOT physical. You may need a doubles/triples endorsement depending on your location.
Hourly on a weekly basis, and with competitive industry pay. You’ll get a Health & Welfare package including medical, dental and vision benefits, pension plus 401(k) plan.
In a permanent role at UPS, you work year-round in either a part or full-time hourly position with the option sometimes to pick up additional shifts during our busy holiday season.
In a seasonal role, you may work part or full-time hours, but there will be a set end date to your position. You’ll likely be hired only to work during our busy holiday season which is typically from October to December. Hours can vary and some roles may require early morning or midnight shifts. Tractor-Trailer Drivers:
Sleeper Team
Our sleeper team drivers are paired up for long haul drives. Each driver in the pair will have a turn at the wheel during their trips, which are a mix of regional and cross-country routes.
FAQ
On road 4-6 days per week for trips of roughly 4,700 miles.
Mileage pay for driving, and hourly pay for wait time and required training. You’ll get a health and welfare package including medical, dental and vision benefits, pension plus 401(k) plan.
Some cross-country and some regional; Depending on network and time of year.
Long hauls are from UPS facilities to other UPS facilities. Day and night driving alternating with another driver in a sleeper cab. Loading/Unloading will be done for you.
